Although you may not wear one down the street, it's
probably the most recognizable party wear around. Most likely, it's
the most recognizable and infamous type of party around as well.
Here, we'll show you how to make a toga and some accessories.
1. Don't use a bed sheet. Go to a fabric store and
find a fine piece of cloth. You'll actually save a heap of money
this way. The length you need will be around 4-5 yards.
2. Fold the width in half and wrap the piece of cloth
around your waist 1.5 times. Pin it where the fabric meets.
3. Throw the remaining cloth over one shoulder (to
your frontside) and wrap it around your back. Pin this to your waist
again.
4. Wearing shorts under this is optional.
5. For women, do the same, yet wear horizontal bands
around the waist and bust to accentuate them.
6. For accessories, you'd have to wear sandals or
thongs and for your head, you could wear a laurel. Simply use some
wire from a coat hanger and wrap it around your head. Attach leaves
to the wire. Fake swords and jewelry will also work.
